Richard V. Wren, 64, of Hico, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his residence.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Nancy Smith Cemetery in Somervell County with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Richard was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Mexia, Texas. During his life he was an auto parts salesman, a cabinet maker, a carpenter, a warehouse manager and a lumber salesman. He also spent 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966 with the 1st Infantry Division. He was also stationed in Germany three times as well as Korea and various bases in the United Sates.

Richard is survived by his wife, Veda Faye Wren; stepson, Michael Lindsey; mother, Willo Boyle; sisters, Verlene Hall and Debra Lundy; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Wren.
