The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services of Palo Pinto, Parker, Young and Jack counties will host their pecan show December 5.
The show will take place at the Palo Pinto County Extension Office located at 221 South 5th Avenue in Palo Pinto.
If you would like to enter your pecans, you should have them at the Palo Pinto office by 9 a.m. on December 5th.
• Exhibitors are limited to one entry of each named variety they grow. The grower may enter as many seedlings, known hybrids or natives as he or she wishes.
• Pecans need to be entered in the name of the county that the pecans were grown in, which must be from one of the counties hosting the show.
• An entry consists of a minimum, 40 pecans, but an entry of 42 is preferred.
• Nuts that are cut, sanded, polished or otherwise altered will be disqualified.
If you are interested in the show or have any questions, contact the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office at 940-659-1228. Winners from each division will advance to the Central Regional Pecan Show taking place January 8-10.
