PALO PINTO – A Palo Pinto County grand jury last week returned 28 felony indictments against 19 named individuals. Six indictments remained sealed pending the arrests of the persons charged.

The open indictments returned Thursday were as follows:

• Simon Castaneda Aparicio III – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram in a school-free zone.

• Simon Castaneda Aparicio III – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

• Eric Aranda – theft of a firearm.

• Pete Camarillo – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

• Jason Corey East – unauthorized use of a vehicle.

• Destiny Denise Frisbie – possession of a prohibited substance/item in a correctional or civil commitment facility.

• Ramiro Garcia, aka Romiro Garcia – property theft.

• Jared Wayne Hall – fraudulent use/possession of identifying information 5-10 items.

• Jared Wayne Hall – debit card abuse.

• Jasmine Nicole Kithkart – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

• Zachery Gene Lindsey – burglary of a building.

• Amber Leighanne Loving – assault/family violence with a previous conviction.

• Ricky Dewon McKnight – unauthorized use of a vehicle.

• Travis Kevin Melton – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, 1-4 grams.

• Travis Kevin Melton – tampering with physical evidence.

• Luis Adolfo Peña, aka Lueas Adolfo Peña – unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

• Cody Nokoa Pruitt – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

• Adrian Rodriguez – theft.

• Shane Matthew Shaw – aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

• Jimmy Todd Shepard – driving while intoxicated-third offense or more.

• Melinda Lanell Smith – possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 1 gram.

• Jeremy Ronell Wooten – assault/family violence by impeding breathing/circulation.
