Army Spec. E4 Zachare Holle, a military police officer based at Fort Hood, is deploying to Iraq on Sept. 8. He will be part of the First Cavalry unit helping in the transition of the Iraq military police training there. He will be there approximately one year.
Holle and his wife, Lacey, married Aug. 14.
His parents are Kim and Ronny Duley. Family members and friends had a going away party for Holle on Sunday, Sept. 4.
Simmons completes combat training
Army Pfc. Mathew J. Simmons has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics.
He is the son of Wanda Anderson of Graford, Texas, and is a 2009 graduate of Graford High School.
