A cashier at a restaurant in the 3100 block of N.E. 2nd Street reported a woman attempting to use a forged $20 bill around 6 p.m.

Wednesday at the drive-through. When the cashier refused the bill, the woman gave her a real $20, according to the police report.

The woman reportedly told police she received the bill from a bank. However, police said the bill was a crude fake.  

Burglaries

• A residence in the 1600 block of S.E. 2nd Street was reported burglarized Sunday, according to a police report. A window was found open and CDs, DVDs and a game console was reported stolen.

• A building in the 200 block of Lee Road was reportedly broken into between 4 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. The fence was cut, the back door kicked in and a generator stolen, according to police.

Electricity stolen

A police officer responding to a disturbance in the 400 block of S.W. 19th Street around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday reportedly found wires coming from a meter box and leading to two residences in another house. Oncor was notified and the wires removed, police said.

Juveniles arrested for burglary

Two 14-year-old males and a 15-year-old male were arrested Dec. 1 for burglary of Lamar Elementary, according to police.

The teens reportedly broke into the building twice in November and vandalized several areas.  

Alleged sexual assault

Police said they responded to a sexual assault call at Palo Pinto General Hospital around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. An 18-year-old woman reportedly told police she had been raped but after further investigation police said they don’t believe the alleged sexual assault took place. Charges of giving a false report to a law enforcement officer are possible, police reported.

• Jesse Wayne Downey, 32, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Dec. 1 on three traffic warrants and a Parker County warrant for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

• Ashley Victoria Hoskins Dees, 35, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Dec. 1 on four traffic warrants.

• Bradley Eric Evans, 37, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Dec. 3 on four traffic warrants.

• Steve Earl Pena, 22, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Dec. 3 on 31 traffic warrants.

• Billy Kyle Nunley, 44, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

• Lester Martin Woodruff, 44, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

• David Armstrong, 41, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Saturday for public intoxication.

• Clay Dodd Bomer, 33, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for public intoxication.

• Israel Anders Cortez, 19, of Haltom City, was arrested Sunday for public intoxication.

• Vincent Ray Ellis, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces.

• Kristy Diane Roe, 34, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for driving while intoxicated, possession of a dangerous drug and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, less than 28 grams.

• Phillip Steed, 28, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for criminal trespass.

• Chadwick Everett Dillard, 39, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for driving while intoxicated.

• Brenda K. Leggett, 48, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Sunday for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

• Jason O’Nealill Purdhomm, 34, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for assault to a family member.

• Wesley Wayne King, 21, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for running a stop sign and improper start from a parked position.

• Justin Daniel Whisman, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday on a Parker County warrant for fraud.

• Colton Russell Donaldson, 17, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Monday for minor in possession of tobacco, failure to signal a turn and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Christopher Shawn Moore, 33, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for driving without a license and speeding.

• Corey James Dempsey, 18, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Tuesday for disorderly conduct, minor in consumption of alcohol and on two city warrants.

• Calvin Lee Taylor, 48, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for assault by threat and five traffic warrants.

• Maria Antonette Tovar, 26, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday on three traffic warrants.

• Douglas J. Royer, 20, of Mineral Wells, was arrested Thursday for possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces, a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and two traffic warrants.
