Some students find themselves still in a classroom this summer, including one who reportedly brought marijuana to school.

According to Mineral Wells police reports, officers were dispatched to Mineral Wells Junior High Friday at 12:24 p.m. in reference to marijuana found in a student’s purse.

A 14-year-old female student’s purse was reportedly left in the school office where someone thought it was a lost-and-found item, police officials reported. In looking for identification, the person allegedly discovered a pack of cigarettes and a small plastic bag of marijuana.

Police officials said the student left the purse in the office but will be charged.
