Good day folks!
It’s Parker County Clean up today. Our digital sign is putting the word out. Thank you to whoever takes the time to post information.
This is a great day in Millsap. One can stay busy, have fun, find good eats and support awesome causes without leaving town.
There is a garage sale at the Millsap Community Center and grab a bowl of soup and corn bread while you are there. There is a bake sale at Tommy’s benefiting the Garden Club scholarship fund. Then, for dinner, the Masons are hosting a fish fry at the log cabins. They begin serving at 4 p.m. There will even be a dessert auction. Money raised will go to their scholarship fund for Millsap seniors.
The Garden Club had its October meeting this week with Linsey Timm speaking to members and guests about avoiding falls. Linsey works for Medical City Weatherford, Physical Therapy. Everyone enjoyed a pot luck lunch and lots of visiting, but not without stopping for a photo shoot!
• October 12 – Crazy Water Festival in Mineral Wells.
• October 19 – Poe Prairie Cemetery Association Meeting with Malt Shop ice cream and gospel singing. It starts at 6 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and be there!
• November 3 – Community Turkey Dinner at Millsap High School. The suggested donation for adults is $10 with children up to age 10 eating for $5. The menu will include turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and your choice of a homemade dessert.
