Millsap highway exit sign

Hello friends!

Did the stormy weather wake you in the early morning hours of Wednesday? My electricity bounced off and on, but Garner was out for a while. This is a typical spring for us!

The piles of rubble in downtown Millsap were not caused by the storm. The county has begun the demolition of the buildings that will straighten out the curve and make for a safer road through Millsap.

Stop by Walden FRS Weatherford West for a free seminar to learn about honey. It is today, March 16th, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. They may give you a taste!

Our community said a heartfelt goodbye to Adina “Edna” Jobe on Wednesday afternoon. Visitation and services were held at Garner Baptist Church (where she had been a member for over 70 years). Mrs. Jobe was 101 years old. She is fondly remembered by many for the tasty homemade rolls she served every Garner school day for 28 years!

It’s spring and folks are cleaning up. If you have a controlled burn, call 817-598-0969.
