Dear Editor,

Salvation Army of Palo Pinto County would like to thank all our volunteers who selflessly contributed their time and joy in giving back to our community through their efforts during this Christmas Red Kettle season.

We had over 300 volunteers and we felt it necessary to mention specifically some of the businesses, organizations and churches that were such a big part of the campaign.

Our special thanks go to Wal-Mart, Metro, Titan Bank, Community National Bank, First Financial Bank, Palo Pinto General Hospital, The Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Posse, Ryan Roach’s Farmers Insurance, Parker Industries and our churches: First United Methodist Church, Central United Methodist Church, First Church of the Nazarene, Discipleship Lutheran, Fairview Baptist, First Baptist, Indian Creek Baptist, Cornerstone Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Palo Pinto Cowboy Church, Lady of Lourdes Youth Group, Northside Baptist, Possum Kingdom Ministerial Alliance, and Mineral Wells Church of God.

We had the Stacy Tuck Family volunteer an entire day, as well as numerous individuals who volunteered above and beyond!

Thanks to all our community who dug deep into their pockets and filled the buckets this season. The money collected in the kettles will be used to help Palo Pinto County residents with utility and pharmacy bills in an emergent situation. May God richly bless our community with your generous gifts.

We would also like to thank the Palo Pinto County United Way, which for many years has assisted our organization battle poverty through their generous grant support.

The Palo Pinto County Salvation Army Board – Gwen Jones, Barbara Johnson, Marianne McMinn, Brian Bennett, Shawna Bradshaw, Beverly Stutzman, Randy Anderson, Debbie Marr, Barbara Pophin, Gary Lovell, Doug Grabham, Ferel Gage, Shelley Hartley, Freeda Sneed, Darrell Rollings and Shelby Smith.
