Dear Editor,

On Monday evening my son, Anthony, and I were outside in our backyard working on our pool pump when my son heard a sizzling sound. He asked me if I could hear it and I said no.

He looked up at our electrical transformer on the pole and saw that it was arcing. He told me to call Oncor, which I did. Within 15 minutes a worker from Oncor showed up and visually looked at the transformer and stated that he needed to call an Oncor crew to our house.

When they arrived there were four of them and one of them climbed the pole and determined that the transformer would have to be replaced with a new pole. They told us when they started we would have no power for a good while. They also told us that the new pole would have to be hand dug because of the tight area that it was in.

We want to thank the Oncor crew that worked all night long in our yard to repair our problem and help to make our home and neighbors’ homes safe.
