All-state goalkeeper Reagan Carter is leaving behind a high school career where she recorded 500 saves to take her game and her brain to the next level at Eastern New Mexico University this winter.

Carter will mark the occasion by signing her national letter of intent to play soccer for the Greyhounds with an open-to-the-pubic signing at the Minerals Wells High School gym at 11:45 am Wednesday.

Carter was the 6-4A Goalkeeper of the Year as she snared 157 saves and a 17-5 record. Carter finishes out her career with three bi-district titles keeping alive Mineral Wells’ streak of five straight years with a playoff win. She had more than 500 saves in her goalkeeping career.

She was named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) all-state (second team) and all-region (first team) teams in 2019.

With the goal of becoming a physician’s assistant, Carter is hoping for a career that will keep her involved in sports because sports have played a big part in her life.
