Micah Manley, Tanner Ford and Xavier Harrison all reached double-figure scoring as No. 3 Graford completed a perfect District 21-A slate Tuesday with a 78-30 country-boy whipping of Bryson.
The 1A Jackrabbits (27-6, 10-0) have a first-round playoff bye, and Graford will have a warm-up game against 3A Breckenridge (24-6, 10-3) Saturday at a site and time to be determined.
While Graford had a trio of players in double figures, they went about getting their points in different parts of the ball games.
For leading scorer Micah Manley, his 25 points were highlighted by five long-distance connections in the third quarter. Harrison netted eight first-half points and was perfect at the free-throw line in the final period to close out with 15 points.
Ford’s 13 points all came in the first half, including his scoring eight of the Jackrabbit’s 22 points in the third period.
The contest was only close in the first quarter, and that still belonged to Graford as they outscored the Cowboys 13-9 before a 22-8 second quarter.
The Jackrabbits closed the door for good in the third quarter by limiting Bryson to only two points, and Graford recorded 21.
Cody Lemley added nine points to the Graford scoring while Marc Matthews had eight.
