The Lady Rams pounded out a tight home win Friday as they came from behind to down Alvarado 25-27, 26-24, 25-22, 25-16, 15-10.

Mineral Wells was prepared to get down, and dirty collected 85-team digs as Kenzie Lawhon had one of the better matches of her career with a team-high 16 digs. She was joined in double-figure digs by Paige Riney with 14 and Taylor Gary who had 10.

Riney, Gary, and Brooklyn Ellis led the Lady Rams’ serving with four aces each and Lawhon had three as Mineral Wells recorded 19 solo shots.

While Mineral Wells is still struggling as a team with hitting errors, the Lady Rams did manage 45 kills against 28 errors.

Ellis led the way at the net with 11 kills while Trista Hopper and Samantha Ashley had nine each. Hopper also added seven digs on defense.

Gary came up huge when it came to assists as she garnered more than half of the teams 41 with 23 of her own. Sidney Dow notched 17 assists.
