As a high school player, Eddie Gallegos wanted to see the Strawn Greyhounds destroy every team they played. They were, after all, his team.

Gallegos probably wouldn't mind seeing Strawn having to wait at least one more week for a win. Mainly because his old team is playing his new team Friday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Jonesboro.

A 1998 graduate of Strawn, Gallegos is in his second season at Jonesboro.

Gallegos is one of three active head coaches from Strawn's Class of 1998. Also coaching are Gordon's Shane Mallory and Aquilla head coach Kirk Hinkson.

Unlike Jonesboro, however, Mallory and Hinkson aren't facing a winless Strawn team in Week 1. The Greyhounds suffered a tough 60-26 loss to Valley Saturday.
