State-ranked No. 14 Santo dropped a pair of games, losing to Windthorst, 42-39, at Windthorst on Tuesday night, and dropping a 37-31 decision at home to Graham on Dec. 17.

The losses drop the Ladycats’ record to 14-3.

Against Windthorst, Sarah Van Remmen led the Ladycats with eight points, with Alyssa McKennon finishing with seven and Breeana Raffaele adding five. Raffaele and McKennon each recorded a pair of three-point buckets.

Against Graham, Van Remmen led Santo with 11 points with Brooke Rice adding seven. Also scoring were Payton Billue with five points, Lyndi Trammell with four, and Raffaele and McKennon, each with two.

“(Graham) was the first of many tough games coming up for us,” Ladycats head coach Tony Raffaele said. “Our starting post, Trammell, will be out for a few weeks with a shoulder injury, and Rice will fill I for her. I have confidence Brooke will get the job done. Injuries are starting to takes a toll, but Graham did an outstanding job defensively. We will need the Christmas break to heal, fine tune and scout our district opponents.”

Santo junior varsity defeated Graham, 29-13, with Taylor Nemeth leading the Ladycats with eight points. Also scoring were Kristy Trammell with six points, Kati George and Chloe McGlaun, each with four, Vicki Taylor and Tiffany Applewhite, each with three, and Lauryn Loftin with one.
