KELLER – Mineral Wells dropped its opener of the Scott Bagg Tournament in Keller, falling to Fort Worth All Saints, but bounced back on Friday and defeated Fort Worth Poly, 78-58.

The win raises the Rams' mark to 3-7, and stops a six-game skid.

"It feels good to get back in the win column," Rams head coach Ty Tabor said. "We didn't do anything special, we just played like we expect ourselves to play. When we do that good things happen."

Senior post Skylar Flaska led the Rams with 28 points, with Zac Tabor adding 18.

On Thursday, All Saints went on a 27-10 run in the second quarter en route to a 75-52 win over Rams.

“No question, All Saints is a good, quality team,” Tabor said. “They had a player (Ryan Schilling) who was not on our scouting report who was their leading scorer (26 points). But sometimes that happens at tournaments.”

Flaska led the Rams with 17 points and a team-leading 11 rebounds. Matt Tincher finished with 12 points. Also scoring for the Rams were Hunter Fincher with six points, Adam Rincon and Tabor, each with four, Dillon Wilkins with three, and Will Estes, Dante Smith and Joseph Wells, each with two.

All Saints led 13-9 after the opening period and took a 62-37 lead into the fourth quarter. The Rams outscored all Saints 15-13 in the fourth period.

“I didn’t see the kind of effort we like in the first half,” Tabor said. “But in the second half we played pretty well.”

The tournament continued on Saturday. See Tuesday’s Index for complete results.
