Forget the 1927 New York Yankees. Somebody had better start making plans to break up the Santo Wildcats.
Santo, keyed by a solid running attack, kept its season record unblemished Friday evening by grinding out a 20-15 win over the Dublin Lions on a muggy night at Memorial Stadium.
With the win, the Wildcats are off to their best start since 1994.
Through their first three games, Santo has posted one of the region's top offenses. The Wildcats have outscored their three opponents by a staggering 129-15 clip.
