Community Christian School improved to 16-9 on the season Tuesday with a 80-19 run-away win against Parkview Christian in Waco.

The Warriors had enough points in the first quarter to win the contest as CCS mounted a 21-4 lead and never looked back.

Coach Brian Rodricks was able to spell players and get experience for others as junior Joshua Guzman blistered the net for 30 points and shooting 72 percent from the field.

Jackson Horton (18) and Luke Knowles (17) joined Gusman in double-figure scoring. The Warriors got nine points from Bryce Haralson and a bucket, each from Ethan Hobson, Lane Gore and Braden Hennech.

The night was highlighted with Knowles topping the 1,000-point mark for his career.
